What are LEDs? Its Green!

LEDs (Light Emitting Diodes) are microscopic light bulbs that fit easily into an electrical circuit. Unlike fluorescent and halogen bulbs, they don't have a filament that will burn out, and they don't get very hot. They are lit by movement of electrons in a semiconductor material and last as long as a standard transistor. LED lifespan exceeds fluorescent and halogen bulbs by thousands of hours.
